Sport Relief - March 2018: Class 3 pupils showed some very good leadership skills when they organised some great sports’ activities for all pupils and there was some excellent participation from everyone. Thank you to all who donated money for our fund-raising event, which made a total of £100 for Comic Relief. Well done, everyone!

Christmas Presentation 2017

Y5 Residential Visit to Longrigg Centre, near Sedbergh - October 2017. Well done to the 18 pupils, who joined pupils and staff from Clapham Primary to take part in this visit, accompanied by Ms. Flanagan, Mr. Kemeny and Mr. Lord. It was the first time that cluster schools had used Longrigg, near Sedbergh and it was a very successful, action-packed week of outdoor and adventurous activities, as well as the even greater challenges of bed-making, sleeping away from home and looking after personal belongings!

January 2017: launch of our new topic - POW! (Power of Writing) Pupils enjoyed touching and smelling different items, hearing a soundscape, acting out synonyms for commonly-used adjectives and inventing their own acronymns to support their writing. All activities involved talking to partners, sharing ideas and writing their responses.

29th November, 2016: Science in Class 2 - sedimentary sandwich - exploring different types of rock.

November 2016 - Class 3 pupils visited Broadrake, near Chapel-le-Dale and learnt some new skills relating to their history about invaders...

September 2016 - KS2 Food Technology lessons - transforming liquid and raw vegetables into delicious frittatas.

September 2016 - KS2 Science lessons - investigating dissolving and melting.

Launch of Autumn Term 2016 topic - Transformers! Pupils transform: eggs into pancakes, paper plates into amazing creations, individuals into problem-solving teams; and themselves into characters using costumes, props and acting skills to create story frames. Everyone had fun, working together in our big school family.
